Information
Capacity
While Marryfield spans hundreds of acres of beautiful, private forest and ridge-top views, the ceremony space at the top is intentionally designed for small gatherings of around 30 people.
This isn’t due to space — it’s due to logistics. The upper ridge is accessed via a 2 km gravel road, and parking, restroom access, and other facilities are minimal to preserve the natural setting. For this reason, we recommend keeping guest counts small and easy to transport.
That said, we’re open to larger or more adventurous groups — especially if you have guests who are avid hikers or would enjoy exploring lower areas of the property for your ceremony instead.
If you have something a little different in mind, feel free to reach out. We’d love to hear your ideas and see what’s possible.
Availability
Marryfield is a seasonal venue, open for bookings from late spring through early fall. The ceremony space at the top of the ridge is completely outdoors, so we recommend planning for warm, dry months — typically May through September.
In 2026, we’re also excited to offer a new semi-indoor greenhouse space — a bright, open-air structure with a transparent roof, partial walls, and gravel flooring. It’s not insulated or fully enclosed, but it provides beautiful shelter from wind, rain or heat, and can be used as a “plan b” location for small gatherings, ceremonies, or wellness events while still feeling connected to the outdoors.
The greenhouse and upper cabin are currently under construction and will be available starting in Spring 2026. Now accepting inquiries for 2026. A limited number of dates will be available during our first full season.
Grounds & Amenities
Marryfield is simple by design — natural, open, and intentionally low-impact — but we’ve included a few thoughtful touches to make your time here both comfortable and deeply connected to the land.
When the venue opens in 2026, your booking will include:
– Exclusive access to the ceremony site for up to 4 hours
– A handcrafted cobblestone platform and wedding arch
– Rustic wooden benches for guest seating
– Parking area for guests and vendors
– Access for setup and breakdown
Accommodations on the property will include:
– A modern-rustic cabin near the ceremony space, with a flush toilet, kitchenette, and two bedrooms, ideal as a honeymoon suite or getting-ready space
– The upper floor of an existing two-storey cabin (separate from the ceremony area), also with a flush toilet — a great option for additional guests or overnight stays
– For those who prefer a more rugged experience, the lower part of the property features a wilderness campground. Several sites will be available, with the option to rent them with or without campers/trailers. These can be used for wedding guests, family, or group retreats that embrace the outdoors.
We’re currently not accepting bookings while the venue and amenities are still under construction — but we’re looking ahead to Spring 2026 for our first season. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with questions or ideas — we’d love to hear from you.
Our Story
Marryfield is the kind of place that asks you to slow down. To breathe. To notice the way the light filters through the trees or how quiet the air gets at the top of the ridge. It’s not flashy or overdone, just an open, natural space that’s been shaped slowly, with care, and a deep respect for the land it sits on.
The idea for Marryfield came from Naomi Maya, a professional photographer with 17 years of experience capturing real people during some of the most meaningful moments in their lives. While Naomi has photographed hundreds of weddings, her first love was always nature photography, chasing light in the forest, watching how seasons change a landscape, and learning how to see beauty in simple things.
When she became the caretaker of this private mountaintop property, the vision came together naturally: create a space where people could gather, celebrate, and connect, not just with each other, but with the natural world around them. A space that doesn’t need crystal chandeliers or towering florals to feel special.
Marryfield reflects Naomi’s style: calm, thoughtful, a little wild around the edges, and deeply rooted in nature. It’s for people who find beauty in simplicity, who don’t mind a bit of wind in their hair, and who want their celebration — whether a wedding, workshop, or retreat — to feel personal, grounded, and real
Booking & Details…
What to Know Before You Book
Marryfield is designed for nature lovers and those who embrace a bit of adventure. It’s a truly unique setting — peaceful, scenic, and intentionally rustic. Before booking, here are a few important things to know:
✔️ The venue is outdoorsy and rugged — not suited for traditional luxury weddings.
✔️ Portable restrooms are available, but facilities are minimal.
✔️ The terrain is natural and uneven in places, so comfortable footwear is strongly recommended (this is not a high-heel kind of place!).
✔️ Access is via a 2 km gravel road. Most vehicles can make the drive, but SUVs or trucks are ideal.
✔️ We’re located about 1 hour from Victoria and 20 minutes from Sooke, BC.
✔️ Feeling extra adventurous? A helicopter arrival may be possible — just ask!
If you’re dreaming of a ceremony surrounded by fresh mountain air, forest views, and wide open sky, Marryfield offers an unforgettable setting for your day.
Is Marryfield Right For You?
Marryfield isn’t for everyone — and we think that’s a good thing.
If you’re looking for chandeliers, polished floors, or luxury accommodations, this may not be your venue. But if the idea of exchanging vows surrounded by forest air, wildflowers, and open sky makes your heart skip a beat, you might be in the right place.
This space is for:
Couples who feel at home in nature
Guests who don’t mind a gravel road and a bit of adventure
People who value simplicity, beauty, and real connection over flash
In addition to weddings and elopements, Marryfield is also ideal for:
Wellness retreats
Yoga workshops
Small group gatherings or creative workshops
Team-building retreats
Rugged accommodations for friends and family who enjoy camping
We’re happy to explore unique ideas and gatherings — if you’re curious whether Marryfield might be a good fit for your event, just reach out. We’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
